I'm not dead!

For those fans who still come here every so often out of vain hope, and to any newbies who happen to drop by, I have tremendous new! One month from today, and exactly one year after my unintentional hiatus began, weekly Eccentricity strips will resume!

Why not today? Well, I want to be as many strips ahead as possible when I start for one, and two, making it exactly a year has an air of significance about it. Anyway, the point is that I have 4 written scripts and a bunch of ideas beyond that, so once I get back into arting it up we are GO!

Good news!

Thanks to recent developments which need not be shared in details, Eccentricity will now be updating EVERY DAY starting tomorrow. Thats right, comics EVERY DAY, being churned out for your enjoyment! This will go on for as long as I can keep it up.

Happy birthday to me

Well, its my birthday today. Which isn't as exciting as it sounds: due to various small issues piling up, I won't really be celebrating to any real extent for a month or so. Still, I'm 19 now which is pretty great, and Betty the guitar makes the world seem a brighter place. Also some friends I had not seen in some time made the effort to wish me a happy birthday, which made me feel warm and fuzzy inside. University starts again on monday, and who knows what that will bring.

Be cool,
-Charlie

ComicSpace

Its ironic, really. I acted all superior when friends got hooked on myspace. I only made an account to put a comment on a friends space, telling her off for getting a myspace in the first place! But now, a dark cloud is upon me, I'm hooked on something remarkably myspacey, constantly monitoring my space for friend requests. So yeah, go to http://www.comicspace.com/charlie/ ! There may just be little bonus things there in future, who knows?

Its far easier to make friends on the internet than in real life. In real life you have to meet them, talk to them, build up some kind of rapport, trade contact details and all that. On the internet you click "add to friends" Gotta love technology.

Bonusmaterial?!

Yes, we have a new custom page on this ol' site, dedicated to any extra stuff i feel like giving out to the general populace. For now there are three, yes three new wallpapers, each available in 1280x1024 and 1024x768 resolutions. Enjoy the love.

No there should not be a space in "bonusmaterial" as its a german compound word, not a crappy pair of english words.

Note, these are hosted on photobucket, as my usual image host has become unreliable of late. I dunno how much bandwidth I'm allowed, so if the images don't load its because I'm far too popular for my own good. Shouldn't be a problem, they are the only images I have on that account.

Because I don't have a blog, I use this

I have developed my own cognitive theory. Probably, someone has proposed something similar or identical before, but I havn't read it so can claim to be original.

First, we ignore subconscious processes, memory and so forth. We're talking cognitive. From here, the mind can be divided into two parts, which I label the "irrational" and the "logical." They mostly work in opposition, the irrational produces impulses, the logical produces inhibitions.

This theory doesn't teach us anything, its more a way to put what goes through my head into sciency words. I have a desire, or an "irrational impulse" and i immediately pick through it finding all the flaws, "logical inhibition." At any time, either side may be more powerful, which generall decides whether you follow the desire, or if you convince yourself not to.

All I can say is, if my irrational mind overtakes my logical, I'll probably get myself killed.

I am on holidays and have nothing else to do with my time than express my crazy theories.

Peace out,
-Charlie

Discovery

So I was putting music into the WMP media library, cos for some reason it wouldn't automatically find data for a few of my new CDs, and while scrolling through the list of music genres, I found "Porn Groove." What an age we live in.

Post Halloween

Yeah, theres no Halloween special here, its not a holiday thats ever meant much to me. However, I DID repeatedly invoke Satan while playing pool last night. Turns out, if you say "Satan says no" when someone's about to shoot, they will invariably sink the cue ball. Try it yourself, though it may only work on Halloween.

Love.
