Author's Musings:

Charlie, 22 Jul 2006 10:52 pm

Another experiment, changed my way of doing backgrounds and dialogue. Every character has their own font. Any thoughts? I'm not certain its an improvement, but I don't think its any worse.

Personally, I like how the textured background contrasts with the flattish characters.

Sad as it is, my holidays are over, I go back to uni tomorrow. The new semester is in all likelyhood gonna be even more time consuming than the last. I'll update when I can.

On another note, and since I no longer use my blog for sharing these useless bits of info, in a rare burst of humanitarianism I'm actually gonna give blood tomorrow. Oh, charitable me! Its quite possible it will make me feel even more woozy than last night's "cocktail with everything" (which despite containing a variety of do-not-mix drinks, didn't make me woozy at all, and which I rather enjoyed. Everyone else thought it tasted rank.)

The Devil's Advocate?

If Jolene weren't just a character in a minor webcomic, she'd bitch slap you right now =P

Hahaha, Not bad... still not sure about the font. Still, you're obviously experimenting, so hail!

Hehe, it is a new banner, well noticed. Well, a new slogan.

And I'm always up for reading a good ramble =)

yes, I agree with lifedrawnpoorly ... the different fonts seem to almost give more depth to your characters as well.

To be honest tho, I think I preferred the old background - this one seems to make the whole strip darker and heavier... eh, could just be me tho ;)

(At lifedrawnpoorly) You wouldn't be stealing the idea. Plenty of people have done it before Charlie did.

And, seriously, what's "The Devil's Advocate"?
